Ps edit: have you tried xtc mode in the 32 bit version of maschine ? not sure it changes anything, but may be it is something to try (unless you are already using that version). Youll find Further informations about this XTC bug work around in our Forum. The 'Blank.pre' file is a Creamware Scope controller setup for work around a known XTC Mode Bug.
Myself, when i use maschine standalone, it's more to get a "new way" to make a pattern or song basis, but i quickly go into the sequencer, because that's where i work best. All other entries of this file are identical to the Creamware Scope MINIMAX factory preset. Using Maschine standalone would allow exactly the same, ie, routing the individual outputs directly to scope asio, and to use the scope plugins, but only as "post" effects as you already know (because there is no sequencer in between to do the xtc mode). Using the individual outputs to daw would allow you to use XTC mode on the sequencer channels rather than directly inside maschine.ġ6 individual output can seem low, but if you begin to group some sounds together, it is often more than enough (i think it happened to me only once or twice that i needed more channels, which is done by exporting the sound as wave file or drag and drop etc on an audio track of the sequencer. This is because I use the modular mixer for all kind of sidechaining and live modulations on groups of sounds rather than individual sounds (with few exceptions like Kick, snare, sometimes bass, sometimes a particular sound or voice that doesn't fit in a group and needs it's own channel). I end up with 6 to 8 stems for the whole mix in general. other tracks in scope are the whole mix and groups like "all voices", etc and a few individual sounds as necessary (generally because that sounds needs a particular scope plugin). The only sounds that are always send individually to scope whatever happens, are the kick and snare. I generally run maschine in the daw, with it's 16 individual outputs in my default cubase project. Sonic Core (CreamWare) PULSAR 41 160 10 290. The delay and reverb is more an creative tool to use.Ĭan't say anything about reliability, I only got it a couple of hours. But a highpass filter, a little eq, a gate, maybe a little compression is excellent to record. My first thought was I'm not going to use the effects because I want the control on it in the final mix (daw). The only thing that's missing: a way to midi map the mixerknobs would be very cool. It's also possilble to record the dry signal and let the performing artist hear the wet (including FX) signal. You can also save the entire mixer settings (called scenes).

In the mixer software it's easy to save fx and setting presets. It has a mix knob to balance the pre-record mix and the main output. Cool to use a delay when recording for example. It doesn't need a power supply so it's great for on the road. Got it up and running in less then half hour.
